MAHARASHTRA COMMON ENTRANCE TEST FOR ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR OF MBA/MMS/PGBDM/PGDM COURSES (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET) 

Government of Maharashtra has established a State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET CELL) under Admission Regulating Authority (ARA) as per the provision in Section 10 of Maharashtra Unaided  Private  Professional  Educational  Institutions  (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015, (Herein after called the Act).

The Commissioner of State CET Cell is Competent Authority for conducting CETs.
The Competent Authority shall conduct the MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2018 for admission to First Year  of Full  Time Post  Graduate  Degree  Courses  in  Management  (MBA/MMS) in  various institutes in Maharashtra, for Academic Year 2018-19.
The admissions to the following  institutes will  be based on the score of CET, provided they are approved & recognized by Government of Maharashtra and are affiliated to any of the Non-Agricultural University in Maharashtra State.
1.All Government of Maharashtra Management Education Institutes
2.University Departments of Management Education
3.University-managed Management Education Institutes
4.All UnAided Management Education Institutescovered as per the Act

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility Criteria for appearing to MAH-MBA/MMS-CET 2018:

Passed minimum Three year Duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by any of the Universities recognised by University Grants Commission or Association  of Indian Universities  in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only) or its equivalent;

MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2018 will be conducted in the selected cities in Maharashtra & outside Maharashtra State. The cities in which MAH-MBA/MMS CET 2018 will be conducted are designated as "Centre" for the CET

The cities in which CET-2018 is conducted are designated as centre for the CET. Each centre will have several venues depending upon the number of candidate due to appear at that centre. A candidate applying for the CET would have the freedom to choose his/her centre but shall not have freedom to choose the venue.

Government of Maharashtra conducts a single stage Combined Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) for admission to First Year of full time Under Graduate Degree courses in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) and Pharmacy (B.Pharm/Pharm D.)
in the Government, Govt. Aided, University Managed, University Departments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State .

For the eligible candidates passing qualifying examination from outside the state of Maharashtra, the Competent Authority allots the examination center.

University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS) Panjab University, Chandigarh has been started at P.U. Campus to offer management Programmes in Sectoral areas and streams so as to fulfill industry needs and requirements for specialized managerial skills.

On behalf of UGC, the Central Board of Secondary Education announces holding of the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 8th JULY, 2018 (SUNDAY) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship & Eligibility for Assistant Professor Both in Indian universities and colleges. CBSE will conduct NET in 79 subjects at 89 selected NET Coordinating Institutions spread across the country.
The candidates who qualify for the award of Junior Research Fellowship are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor. The universities, institutions, IITs and other national organizations may select the JRF awardees for whole time research work in accordance with the procedure prescribed by them. The award of JRF and Eligibility for Assistant Professor both OR Eligibility for Assistant Professor only will depend on the performance of the candidate in all three papers of NET. However, the candidates qualifying exclusively for Assistant Professor will not be considered for award of JRF.
The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts the UGC-CSIR NET for other Science subjects, namely, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences jointly with the UGC. The tests are conducted twice in a year generally in the months of June and December. For candidates who desire to pursue research, the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) is available for five years subject to fulfillment of certain conditions. UGC has allocated a number of fellowships to the universities for the candidates who qualify the test for JRF. The JRFs are awarded to the meritorious candidates from among the candidates qualifiying for eligibility for lectureship in the NET. JRFs are available only to the candidates who opt for it in their application forms.
Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Visually Handicapped (VH)/Physically  Handicapped (PH) candidates will be given such special concessions as may be  decided by the Commission.  
2) JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP :
Candidates qualifying for the award of Junior Research Fellowship will be eligible to  receive fellowship of UGC under various schemes, subject to finding their placement in universities/IITs/institutions.  The validity period of the offer is two years w.e.f. the date of issue of JRF Award Letter.  However, in case the candidates have already joined M.Phil/Ph.D., the date of commencement of fellowship shall be from the date  of declaration of NET result or date of their joining, whichever is later.

Eligibility

i) Candidates who have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science etc. are eligible for this Test. The Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Physically Handicapped (PH)/Visually Handicapped (VH) category candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without rounding off) in Master’s degree or equivalent examination are eligible for this Test.

ii) Candidates who have appeared OR will be appearing at the qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited OR candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. However, such candidates will be admitted provisionally and shall be considered eligible for award of JRF/Lectureship eligibility only after they have passed their Master’s degree examination or equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH/VH category candidates). Such candidates must complete their P.G. degree examination within two years from the date of NET result with required percentage of marks, failing which they shall be treated as disqualified.

iii) The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s level examination had been completed by 19th September, 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e., from 55% to 50%) for appearing in NET.

iv) Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post-graduation only. The candidates, whose post-graduation subject is not covered in the list of subjects in item No. 9, may appear in a related subject.

v) Candidates seeking concession in fee are required to submit attested copy of their OBC(Non-creamy layer)/SC/ST/PH/VH certificate along with online print out of their Application Forms (obtained while applying on-line). Other candidates are not required to submit any certificates/documents in support of their eligibility along with print out of their Application Form. Therefore, the candidates, in their own interest, must satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the Test. In the event of any ineligibility being detected by the Commission at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled and they shall be liable for legal action.

vi) Candidates with post-graduate diploma/certificate course(s), should in their own interest, ascertain the equivalence of their course(s) with Master’s degree of recognized Indian universities from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

Age : The upper age limit for appearing in JRF has also been raised by two years, i.e. from the existing upper age limit of 28 years to 30 years(the relaxation as earlier will remain same).

The NET in Major Science Subjects, viz., Chemical Sciences; Earth Atmospheric Ocean and Planetary Sciences; Life Sciences; Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences is conducted jointly with the Council of Scientifica and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. The Concerned notifications are issued separately by CSIR.
UGC conducts NET twice a year, i.e., in the months of June and December. The notifications announcing the June and December examinations are published in the months of March and September respectively in the weekly  journal of nation-wide circulation, viz, Employment News.
The result of June, UGC-NET is declared generally in the month of October. Similarly December, UGC-NET result is usually declared in the month of April. The UGC-NET results published in the Employment News are also available on UGC website.

RESERVE BANKS OF INDIA (RBI) ASSISTANT RECRUITMENT EXAM
 
Under the revised scheme of selection, there shall be two phase online examination i.e. Preliminary and Main examination followed by Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Candidates who shall qualify in Preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main examination and shortlisted candidates in the Main examination will subsequently be called for Language Proficiency Test (LPT) . The revised scheme of selection is as follows:-

Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests of the online examinations
A candidate has to qualify in Preliminary Examination for appearing in Main Examination.
There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests (Preliminary and Main examination).1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
