There are 3 modes of selection, prelims, main, interviews.

BPSC Prelims Exam Pattern: The prelims exam is conducted through offline mode, 120 minutes 150 marks multiple choice question papers. 

BPSE Main Exam Pattern: The BPSC main exam consists of 4 papers as follows:

Candidate requires scoring 30% minimum mark in Hindi, however; these marks will not be considered while preparing the final merit list.

BPSC Interview: The list of candidates who qualify the Main examination is published on the official website. These candidates are called for the interview round. The final merit list is prepared after considering the marks of main exam and interview round.

BPSC Preliminary Exam Syllabus: BPSC CCE Preliminary exam syllabus includes topics such as

  1. Current Events of National and International importance
  2. General Science
  3. History of India and salient features of history of Bihar, General geography and geographical division of Bihar and its major river systems
  4. Indian Polity and Economy
  5. Major changes in the economy of Bihar post-independence
  6. Indian National Movement and contribution of Bihar
  7. Questions from General Mental Ability.
 

BPSC Main Exam Syllabus
  1. Hindi – The paper will comprise of questions on essay writing (30 marks), grammar (30 marks), sentence syntax (25 marks), and précis-writing/summary (15 marks). Questions will be of the Secondary Level of Bihar School Examination Board.
  2. General Studies (Paper I) – Current events of national and international importance, the modern history of India and Indian culture, and statistical analysis, graphs & diagrams
  3. General Studies (Paper II) – Indian Polity, India Economy and Geography of India, and the role and impact of science and technology in the development of India.
  4. Optional Subject – Candidates have to select from one of the optional subjects for this paper. The detailed syllabus for each subject is available on the official website.

SEBI Assistant Manager Preparation Tips


To cracking the SEBI assistance manager’s exam is not difficult, only need proper study plan with time management. Students need to spend time not only learning, understanding what you study during SEBI assistance manager recruitment examination. First ensure about syllabus and pattern properly, as students who fill online application form the syllabus of SEBI assistant manager recruitment exam is pretty straightforward. 1st stage will be computer based screening test, consisting of 200 questions for duration of 120 minutes. This test will be held on 17th November this year. The SEBI assistant manager recruitment exam pattern such as:


  1. General Awareness: 40 Marks
  2. Quantitative Aptitude: 40 Marks
  3. Test of Reasoning: 40 Marks
  4. English Language: 40 Marks
  5. Awareness about security market: 40 Marks
In order to qualify for 2nd stage, you must score minimum 40% marks in each of the tests above separately.

2nd stage consists of three papers for 300 marks. It will be held on 16 December this year. You can download the syllabus from here. Applicants who secure minimum 40% marks in each topic separately will be called for interview. Weightage of the paper II will be 85%

3rd and last stage of the selection process will be Interview. Only the selected candidates will be called for Interview. Weightage of the interview will be 15%.

Subjects: Candidates need to study total 5 subjects during preparation of SEBI assistant manager’s recruitment examination such as English, General Knowledge, Security Market, Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. 

Question papers and patterns: The questions papers consist 200 questions, 40 questions for every subject.

Exam durations: You have 120 minutes for solving 200 questions. Its means you have less than 1 minute for attempting single question. So, speed is matter for scoring high and cracking SEBI assistant manager entrance examination. Solve last 5 years question papers, it’s give you rough ideas about exam pattern and questions types.
