MAHARASHTRA COMMON ENTRANCE TEST FOR ADMISSION TO FIRST YEAR / DIRECT SECOND YEAR (SEPARATE DIVISION & LATERAL ENTRY)OF MCA (MAH-MCA-CET)
Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State conducts Common Entrance Test (MAH-MCA) for candidates seeking admission to First Year / Direct Second Year (Separate Division & Lateral Entry) of Three year full time Post Graduate Degree course in Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in the Government, Govt. Aided, University Managed, UniversityDepartments and Unaided Institutes in the Maharashtra State.
Eligibility Criteria:
Eligibility Criteria for appearing to MAH-MCA-CET 2018 :

The candidate should fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
(i) The candidate should be an Indian National;
(ii) Passed minimum three year duration Bachelor’s Degree awarded by University recognised by University Grants Commission or Association of Indian Universities in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only);
(iii) Studied Mathematics as one of the subjects at (10+2) level or at Graduate level examination;
(iv) For Direct second year admissions, the candidate should have passed Bachelor Degree in Computer Applications or Science (Information Technology or Computer Science).(Candidates appearing for final year of qualifying examination are also eligible to appear for CET)
Note:Aggregate marks means the grand total of marks obtained by the candidate in subjects based on which the class declaration is made in the particular University from which the candidatei s passing the qualifying examination.

Application Form:
Candidates to Register & Confirm the Online Application Form through candidate login by himself/herself from the place convenient to him/her at https://www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in/mcacet2018/
Applications sent by Post/Courier etc., will be rejected and no communication in this regard will be made.
It should be noted that no documents are required to be submitted at this stage. Candidates are advised to keep the necessary original documents ready for verification at the time of Document verification stage, during Centralised Admission Process (CAP).

General Category Candidates from Maharashtra State, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), J & K Migrant candidates : Rs. 1000/-

The cities in which CET-2018 is conducted are designated as centre for the CET. Each centre will have several venues depending upon the number of candidate due to appear at that centre. A candidate applying for the CET would have the freedom to choose his/her centre but shall not have freedom to choose the venue.
